Booking Terms & Conditions

Please review our terms and conditions carefully before booking. These guidelines ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all clients.

Cancellation Policy - All Bookings
We always endeavor to bring our clients the highest standards of atmosphere, coaching and over all services. Our high standards, coupled with the extremely labour intensive nature of this business means that we scheduled our daily activities and roster around our clients requirements. It’s for these reasons we must apply a strict cancellation policy.
  • All bookings are subject to a 24 hour cancellation policy.
  • Failure to cancel more than 24 hours prior to the booking time will result in full fee being charged. Either via the forfeit of all a pre-paid credit, vouchers or the full fee being charged to the supplied credit card.
  • Bookings booked through Bookeo can be managed via your online bookeo account. Bookeo allows customers to log in at any time to manage, cancel or amend their booking.
  • By the discretion of management, under exceptional circumstances, a booking may be used as a credit towards another service.
Casual / Online Bookings
  1. Casual bookings are processed via our online booking platform, hosted by “Bookeo”.
  2. Full payment or an active credit card must be given at the time of the booking.
  3. All bookings are subject to a 24 hour cancellation policy. Failure to cancel more than 24 hours prior to the booking time will result in full fee being charged. Either via the in the forforte of all prepayments or the full fee being charged to the supplied credit card details.
  4. Riders must arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of their booking time to ensure all appropriate measures to prepare for the booking have been fulfilled. Failure to do so, may result in shorter riding time.
  5. All bookings include tacking up the horse, mounting and dismounting time.
  6. Please note, our maximum rider weight is 85kg for horse welfare reasons.
  7. In some circumstances, riders with advanced special needs may not be accepted. This will only happen in the event that a suitable horse is unavailable. In this instance, a full refund will be made.
  8. In the case where the instructor the booking was made under is absent, the booking will be transferred over to the next available instructor.
  9. All riders must wear long leggings/pants, long socks and correct closed in equestrian riding boots when participating in a service at Eastside Riding Academy.
Centennial Park Riding - Pony Leads & Park Leisure Rides
Pony Leads
  1. 30 minute pony/ horse rides for children aged 4 and over.
  2. Horse/pony will be allocated based on the age, weight and height of the rider, provided during the online booking process.
  3. Please arrive 10-15 mins before the start of your booked session to ensure your ride starts on time. Failure to do so may result in a shorter ride time.
  4. All pony lead bookings are open for more than one rider. Bookings may be shared with other members of the public, so please ensure you are on time. Failure to arrive on time may result in the remaining party commencing the ride without you. In this case, you may not be able to ride if there is not additional staff members available.
  5. No refund/credit will be given to riders who refuse to ride at the time of the booking.
  6. Rider must wear comfortable closed in shoes, long pants, long socks and a shirt with a sleeve (short or long sleeve).
  7. Riding boots and helmets will be provided by Eastside Riding Academy free of charge.
  8. The maximum weight limit for all riders is 85kg, due to horse welfare reasons.
  9. All services include time it takes to mount and dismount the horse/pony.
  10. In some circumstances, bookings for riders with advanced special needs may not be accepted. This will only happen in the event that a suitable horse/staff member is unavailable. In this instance, full refund will be made.
  11. Cancellation will be accepted and refunded 24 hours prior to booking start time. No refunds will be offered for cancellation inside of the 24 hour window. By the discretion of management, under exceptional circumstances, a booking may be used as credit towards another service. If for any reason the child does not wish to ride no refund will be available.In the case of wet weather, the pony lead will take place in the undercover arena, instead of Centennial Parklands.
  12. In the case of extreme bad weather, Eastside Riding Academy reserves the right to cancel the service and offer a credit or full refund.
  13. In the case where the instructor the booking was made under is absent, the booking will be transferred over to the next available instructor.
Park Leisure Rides
  1. One hour park ride for children aged 12 and over. For children under 12, another rider over 12 years of age must accompany them on the booking.
  2. Horse/pony will be allocated based on the age, weight and height of the rider, provided during the online booking process.
  3. Please arrive 10-15 mins before the start of your booked session to ensure your ride starts on time. Failure to do so may result in a shorter ride time.
  4. All Park Leisure Rides are open for more than one rider. Bookings may be shared with other members of the public, so please ensure you are on time. Failure to arrive on time may result in the remaining party commencing the ride without you. In this case, you may not be able to ride if there is not additional staff members available.
  5. No refund/credit will be given to riders who refuse to ride at the time of the booking.

If for any reason the child does not wish to ride no refund will be available.
  12. In the case of wet weather, the booking can be rescheduled for another day, or converted into a group lesson booking in the undercover arena, in the case that all booked riders agree.
  13. In the case of extreme bad weather, Eastside Riding Academy reserves the right to cancel the service and offer a credit or full refund.
  14. In the case where the instructor the booking was made under is absent, the booking will be transferred over to the next available instructor.
Term Enrolments - Early Bird Discount & Cash Payments
Early Bird Discount
By electing to book through the Early Bird Enrolment Program you agree to the following T&C’s:
  1. 10% discount off term enrolment booked via online booking form.
  2. This option will be available until midday 07/04/24 or until capacity is reached.
  3. Choose between ‘Deposit only’ or ‘Full term payment’ option to secure your place and discount.

If ‘deposit only’ selection is made the remaining amount will be charged onto the original payment card used to make the deposit payment on or around one week before the commencement of the term. To update your credit card details, please email accounts@eastsideriding.com.au.

Cash Payments
By electing to pay via cash payment, you agree to the following T&C’s:
  1. Cash payments must be paid in the office before the end of the first week of term.
  2. Cash payments will be eligible for the Early Bird Discount if paid on or before the last day of the first week of term.
  3. The early bird discount rate is only applicable to enrolments booked for the entire 10 week term. We cannot offer the early bird cash discount to anyone wanting to enrol for less than 10 weeks.
  4. There are only a limited amount of cash bookings accepted per term. Once we have reached capacity, we will no longer accept additional cash bookings. Please note, we do not accept cash bookings in term 1 of each year.
Term Enrolments - Private Lessons (1 Hour & Half Hour)
  1. Full prepayment must be paid during the first week of term. When paying by card, the balance will automatically be deducted from your account during the first week of term.
  2. Fixed 10 weeks tuition.
  3. Weekly session allocation will be based on indicated options and the best interest of the rider.
  4. Riding times including mounting and dismounting times. Along with time it takes for lesson changeover. Please ensure you arrive with sufficient time to prepare and avoid losing valuable riding time.
  5. Lessons which take place inside Centennial Parklands, will include time it takes to ride to the Equestrian Grounds and return to the Eastside stables.
  6. This is a non refundable purchase. Any refunds are at the discretion of the owner and only granted under exceptional circumstances. If you are unsure of your availability, please contact the office before proceeding.
  7. In the case of hot weather, or at management’s discretion, Eastside will conduct lower intensity lessons for the welfare of the horses and riders.
  8. For make up lesson terms and conditions, refer to “Term Programs – Make Up Lessons”
Term Programs - Group & Shared Lessons
  1. Full prepayment must be paid during the first week of term. When paying by card, the balance will automatically be deducted from your account during the first week of term.
  2. Fixed 10 weeks tuition.
  3. Weekly session allocation will be based on indicated options and the best interest of the rider.
  4. Shared Lessons must be shared with a partner provided by yourself. Eastside will not arrange riding partners for individuals for Shared Lessons.
  5. Riding times including mounting and dismounting times. Along with time it takes for lesson changeover. Please ensure you arrive with sufficient time to prepare and avoid losing valuable riding time.
  6. Lessons which take place inside Centennial Parklands, will include time it takes to ride to the Equestrian Grounds and return to the Eastside stables.
  7. This is a non refundable purchase. Any refunds are at the discretion of the owner and only granted under exceptional circumstances. If you are unsure of your availability, please contact the office before proceeding.
  8. In the case of hot weather, or at management’s discretion, Eastside will conduct lower intensity lessons for the welfare of the horses and riders.
  9. For make up lesson terms and conditions, refer to “Term Programs – Make Up Lessons”
Term Programs - Adult Beginners Course
  1. Full prepayment must be paid during the first week of term. When paying by card, the balance will automatically be deducted from your account during the first week of term.
  2. Fixed 10 weeks tuition.
  3. 2 hour session per week, split between theory and riding. 1 hour group riding lesson (including mounting and dismounting), and 1 hour of horsemanship and theory. Theory and riding time may change at any time, at the discretion of Eastside. So please ensure you are on time to your session.
  4. Weekly session allocation will be based on indicated options and the best interest of the rider.
  5. Riding times including mounting and dismounting times. Along with time it takes for lesson changeover. Please ensure you arrive with sufficient time to prepare and avoid losing valuable riding time.
  6. Lessons which take place inside Centennial Parklands, will include time it takes to ride to the Equestrian Grounds and return to the Eastside stables.

Children's Term Programs - Junior Jockeys
  1. Full prepayment must be paid during the first week of term. When paying by card, the balance will automatically be deducted from your account during the first week of term.
  2. Fixed 10 weeks tuition.
  3. 1 hour session per week, split between theory and riding. 30 minutes group riding lesson (including mounting and dismounting), and 30 minutes of horsemanship and theory. Theory and riding time may change at any time, at the discretion of Eastside. So please ensure you are on time to your session.
  4. Weekly session allocation will be based on indicated options and the best interest of the rider.
  5. Riding times including mounting and dismounting times. Along with time it takes for lesson changeover. Please ensure you arrive with sufficient time to prepare and avoid losing valuable riding time.
  6. Lessons which take place inside Centennial Parklands, will include time it takes to ride to the Equestrian Grounds and return to the Eastside stables.

Children's Term Programs - Ready Set Trot & Equiskills
  1. Full prepayment must be paid during the first week of term. When paying by card, the balance will automatically be deducted from your account during the first week of term.
  2. Fixed 10 weeks tuition.
  3. 2 hour session per week, split between theory and riding. 1 hour group riding lesson (including mounting and dismounting), and 1 hour of horsemanship and theory. Theory and riding time may change at any time, at the discretion of Eastside. So please ensure you are on time to your session.
  4. Weekly session allocation will be based on indicated options and the best interest of the rider.
  5. Riding times including mounting and dismounting times. Along with time it takes for lesson changeover. Please ensure you arrive with sufficient time to prepare and avoid losing valuable riding time.

Children's Programs - Riding Club
  1. Rider enrolments are subject to eligibility criteria. Enrolments may be declined due to rider age or rider ability. In the case of a declined enrolment, booking will be refunded in full.
  2. Full prepayment must be paid during the first week of term. When paying by card, the balance will automatically be deducted from your account during the first week of term.
  3. Instalments will be charged in accordance to dates listed below.
  4. Fixed 10 weeks tuition.
  5. Riding times including mounting and dismounting times. Along with time it takes for lesson changeover. Please ensure you arrive with sufficient time to prepare and avoid losing valuable riding time.
  6. Lessons in which take place inside Centennial Parklands, will include time it takes to ride to the Equestrian Grounds and return to the Eastside stables.
  7. This a non refundable purchase. Any refunds are at the discretion of the owner and only granted under exceptional circumstances. If you are unsure of your availability, please contact the office before proceeding.
  8. In the case of hot weather, or at management’s discretion, Eastside will conduct lower intensity lessons for the welfare of the horses and riders.
  9. For make up lesson terms and conditions, refer to “Term Programs – Make Up Lessons”
  10. If electing the 3 instalment option you agree to the following payment schedule:
    • Instalment 1: Due on booking OR 1st week of term if paying via “deposit only”
    • Instalment 2: Payable on or around week 5 of term
    • Instalment 3: Payable on or around week 9 of term
    • All further instalment charges will be made to the card used for instalment 1. Failure to make payment may result in an inability to attend riding.
Term Programs - Make Up Lessons
  1. Only participants who have enrolled in a term program are eligible for make-up lessons.
  2. Two “make up lessons”, on scheduled dates, for genuine missed lessons are available at the end of term. A 24 hours cancellation notice is required via email to be eligible.
  3. Cancellations not made within 24 hours will require a medical certificate to be eligible for a make up lesson.
  4. Make up lessons include the practical aspect of programs only. Theory components in term riding programs cannot be made up in a make up lesson. E.g. an Adult Beginners Course make up lesson will involve one (1) hour only, no theory.
  5. Make up lessons for each term will expire before the next term commences.
  6. Make up lessons will be held on selected dates only. Dates can be found here.
School Holiday Programs
Junior Jockey Camp
  1. 9am sharp drop off, 1pm pick up. There will be no supervision outside of these hours.
  2. 1 ride per day. The ride may take place in either the undercover arena, Centennial Parklands, or it may be split into both.
  3. Practical and theory based learning activities
  4. This is a non-refundable booking.
  5. Refunds or exchanges will not be given in the circumstance that a rider refuses to ride. Eastside staff will try their best to actively encourage riders to participate however, we are unable to enforce this.
  6. By the discretion of management, under exceptional circumstances, a booking may be transferred to another student, or used as a credit for the same booking in the following school holidays.
Full Day Camp
  1. 9am sharp drop off, 4pm pick up. There will be no supervision outside of these hours.
  2. 2 rides per day. One group riding lesson, one ride in Centennial Park (weather pending). If the weather is not on our side, Centennial Park ride will be conducted earlier in the day, or both rides will take place in the undercover arena.
  3. Practical and theory based learning activities.
  4. This is a non-refundable booking.
  5. Refunds or exchanges will not be given in the circumstance that a rider refuses to ride. Eastside staff will try their best to actively encourage riders to participate however, we are unable to enforce this.
  6. By the discretion of management, under exceptional circumstances, a booking may be transferred to another student, or used as a credit for the same booking in the following school holidays.
Gift Vouchers
  1. This is a non-refundable purchase;
  2. Bookings are valid for 3 years from date of purchase, as per NSW law;
  3. Gift vouchers can be used by a person not listed as the receiver when the original voucher can be produced;
  4. The gift voucher can be transferable to another service offered at Eastside Riding Academy to the same value, or pay the difference for a higher value service.
  5. When booking with a valid Gift Voucher, credit card details must be supplied for security reasons. The supplied card will not be charged with a valid Gift Voucher.
Active & Creative Kids Vouchers
  1. Active & Creative Kids Vouchers can only be redeemed on term enrolment bookings, not casual one-off bookings.
  2. When supplying a valid Active & Creative Kids voucher on term bookings, Eastside will either deduct the voucher amount from the remaining balance, or reimburse the voucher amount into the same card of original payment.
  3. Those who select the “Deposit only” option on enrolment will only be charged the outstanding amount minus the voucher amount.
  4. For those who make full term payments and provide a voucher code upon enrolling, reimbursement will be made back into the account the original payment method was made in.
  5. Reimbursements will be made on or around one week before the commencement of term.
